A one-day music festival is being planned for Dawlish on Saturday, July 31.
It's being organised by Chris Durney and will be held at the Marine Hotel and Tavern and the Teignmouth Inn, between 2pm and 11pm.
Bands on the bill include Manuka 2, Go Tell Alice, The Rockeries, The Gun Runners, The Johnsons Blues Explosion and The Sea Dogz.
Andy Sharples of the Marine Hotel announced the event – called Dawlish Music Celebration - on the venue's Facebook page, in the form of a poem, referring to 'The thrill of something special live music can only bring, That makes your body want to move, your voice that wants to sing'.
He said he's looking forward to bringing back his own venue's Underground Sessions and Open Mic nights as soon as Covid restrictions allow.
The Marine Tavern itself will reopen on May 17, as per the Government's 'roadmap to recovery', unless there's a spell of very warm weather before that, when Andy may open the outside area.
There'll be more information about Dawlish Music Celebration on the Dawlish Nub News site soon.
