Police figures show there were 62 crimes in Dawlish during October 2020, and 42 in the Dawlish Warren area.

The October figures are the latest published on a national website that gives a breakdown of crimes in each policing area.

In Dawlish there were 24 recorded incidents of antisocial behaviour (ASB) in October, 21 violent or sexual offences, seven cases of criminal damage or arson, and 10 incidents recorded as 'other crimes'.

In Dawlish Warren, also known as Dawlish Rural, which also includes Starcross, there were 18 ASB incidents, 13 violent or sexual offences, four cases of criminal damage or arson and seven recorded as 'other'.

How does this compare with last October?

October 2019 saw 42 crimes in Dawlish, 21 of which were violent or sexual offences, nine ASB, five criminal damage or arson, and seven recorded as 'other'.

Dawlish Warren saw 34 crimes, 12 of which were criminal damage or arson, 10 violent or sexual offences, seven ASB and five 'other' types of offence.
