A proposal for eight new static lodges at Cofton Country Holiday Park is being supported by Dawlish town councillors.
The application for the lodges, each with a decking area and two parking spaces, went before the planning committee on Friday, April 23.
The application said the lodges will be on part of the holiday park currently used by campers, that they won't be visible from any public road, and will be screened by vegetation.
The town councillors unanimously agreed that they had no objections to the plan, provided the lodges remain as rental accommodation.
The council will be suggesting that extra trees and other greenery are planted across the site, and that electric vehicle charging points are installed.
The final decision on the application will be made by Teignbridge District Council.
