New chiropractic clinic opens in Dawlish
A new chiropractic clinic opened in Dawlish on Thursday (1 September) this week.
Coastal Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, located in the former premises of Funky Frog's Play Pad in the old post office on Brunswick Place, offers chiropractic treatments, osteopathy, sports massage, and more.
Owner Lee Johnson, from Torquay, is a qualified chiropractor and alumnus of Bournemouth University.
Also operating from the clinic are Lee's partner and sports massage therapist Jenni Wilson, an osteopath, and soon a yoga instructor.
Lee said: "[I have been a chiropractor for] six years now, I graduated in 2016.
"I offer chiropractic and I've also done a postgraduate degree in musculo-skeletal ultrasound scanning. I do shockwave therapy, functional rehabilitation.
"We've also got sports massage, that's beginning this week as well and osteopathy starts next week."
Lee has plied his trade in Torquay, Teignmouth, Paignton, and also in the Barton Health Hub in Dawlish.
Speaking about whom might benefit from chiropractic, he added: "The youngest patient I've treated is three days old, the oldest I've treated was 98 years old.
"It really is for anyone and everyone. It's a case of figuring out what's going on first, then it's how do we treat.
"I do often refer patients up to GPs if their pains don't seem like it is purely mechanical."
The clinic will hold an open day this Saturday (3 September) and offer free 10-minute walk-in consultations.
For September, Lee is offering 20% discounts for new and current patients for their first visits.
To book a consultation, you can call 01626 688147 or visit the clinic's website.
