Monthly litter picks are set to return to Dawlish next Saturday (26 June), if enough volunteers can be found.

Dawlish Against Plastic is now organising the events after the previous organisation Open Daw had to close due to lack of funds during the pandemic.

A spokesperson said: "We have pickers, hi-vis jackets, gloves, bags, and hoops for anyone who would like to help look after their local environment.

"Everyone will receive health & safety advice and a full risk assessment."

Both Dawlish Town Council and Teignbridge District Council reportedly support the initiative.

The litter picks take place on the last Saturday of each month.

If you'd like to join one of them you can either email [email protected] or phone 07931 225680.

Please be advised that under-18s should be accompanied by an adult.
