The results of the 2023 local elections have now been released.

The newly elected councillors for Teignbridge District Council and Dawlish Town Council are confirmed below, together with the number of votes for each candidate who stood.

Teignbridge District Council

The composition of Teignbridge District Council overall is now:

  • Liberal Democrat 26
  • Conservative 9
  • South Devon Alliance 9
  • Independent 3

In the two Dawlish wards, the results are as follows:

Dawlish North East (three councillors elected)

  • Martin Wrigley (Liberal Democrats): 1438 - HOLD
  • Rosie Dawson (Liberal Democrats): 1182 - GAIN FROM IND
  • Lin Goodman-Bradbury (Liberal Democrats): 1033 - HOLD
  • Linda Petherick (Independent): 783
  • Lisa Mayne (Conservative): 693
  • Wayne Munday (Independent): 404
  • Andrew Cruikshank (Heritage Party): 212

Dawlish South West (two councillors elected)

  • Alison Foden (Liberal Democrats): 767 - HOLD
  • Mike James (Liberal Democrats): 553 - GAIN FROM IND
  • Angie Weatherhead (Independent): 537
  • Rosalind Prowse (Conservative): 453
  • John Petherick (Independent): 417
  • Pete Costello (South Devon Alliance): 223
