A donation of £250 was given to Cllr John Petherick (Chairman of Teignbridge District Council) for his charity, East Teignbridge Community Transport Association.

Cllr Petherick is helping the charity to raise money towards a bespoke minibus, costing over £65,000, which is urgently needed to enable them to continue the much-needed services that they provide for the community.

This donation was given by the Worshipful Master and members of The Lodge of Union at Starcross.

Freemason David Force, who presented the cheque to Cllr John and Cllr Linda Petherick, has supported John and Linda in the past when they were Mayor and Mayoress of Dawlish with other fundraising initiatives that they have carried out for Dawlish charities.

Cllr Petherick said: 'I would like to say a massive thank you to The Lodge of Union at Starcross for such a generous donation, and to David Force for his continued support."
