December 2020 Weather Review: Teignmouth and Dawlish area

By Guest

23rd Jul 2021 | Local News

December 2020 was a very unsettled month as low pressure dominated the weather patterns. Low pressure was often centred over the country, rather than the more typical pattern of low pressure centres moving quickly across the British Isles.

In terms of statistics, rainfall for the month totalled between 130mm and 180mm in the Dawlish and Teignmouth area, which is well above the long term average (LTA) of around 103mm, and Netherton recorded an even higher total of 233mm.
