Dawlish weekend review: The Mix Coffee House & Bar | Opinion

Last Wednesday (14 July) was a warm day in the town, and I was in desperate need of something to cool me down.

I saw 'The Mix' on the high street and decided to give it a go - and give them a bit of a challenge.

I ordered a banana, kale, and mango smoothie, which was promptly served to me with a paper straw.

Bearing in mind that I hate kale and its dreadfully bitter aftertaste, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it offset the sweetness of the two fruits.

Light, refreshing, and delicious - I highly recommend their smoothies.

The Mix offers a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and cider, as well as bar snacks and pizzas.

I also understand that they make custom occasion cakes - a fantastic little business.
