Dawlish weekend review: No.1 Cafe | Opinion

As I walked up the Strand past the Lawn earlier this week, I caught sight of a little cafe on the corner of Queen Street opposite the library.
It was one of those strange, sleepy humid days just before a storm on which you can wear summer clothes but need an umbrella just in case you get washed away by a tropical shower.
Studying their menu, I decided to go for an ice tea to cool me down and wake me up.
The interior of the cafe was beautifully clean and apparently newly decorated. I liked the half-rustic, half-modern design with their blackboard, glass jars, hanging sign and wooden floors.
The staff were very kind and courteous, not to mention fast; I had to wait little more than 30 seconds for my drink.
I had the jasmine ice tea - it was sweet, refreshing, and delicious.
Next time I'm going to make sure to bring a friend and enjoy their beautiful outdoor terrace.
No.1 Cafe is a family run-business that has been open since 2017 - you can find them here on Google Maps.
