Residents of East Cliff Road have had a cash windfall after their numbers came up on the People's Postcode Lottery.

The postcode EX7 0BP was among those selected as a Daily Prize winner on Saturday, January 9.

Fourteen households will each receive £1,000.

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson said: "A big congratulations to all those who have picked up a prize today in Dawlish.

"I hope the win will help lift their spirits and they treat themselves to something special with the cash."

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities, and players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by Postcode Green Trust, which promotes conservation and protection of wildlife and habitats by encouraging enjoyment and promoting access to the outdoors.

The trust supports charities and good causes through grant funding. It operates its own society lottery and receives all its funding from the players of People's Postcode Lottery.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players' support, and local charities can apply for funding this year.
