A man with cystic fibrosis has raised over £6k for charity by running a mile around Dawlish Lawn every day for a year.

Craig Jones began the challenge, dubbed 'A Mile Round the Green', on 1 January 2022 and finished on 31 December.

He has raised £4,752 for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and £655 for The South Western Ambulance Charity at the time of writing.

Craig chose to fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of his late aunt and for The South Western Ambulance Charity as his wife is a paramedic.

He said: "I think I shocked myself with how well I did, especially when it was ridiculously cold in the last couple of months, but I feel lucky and humbled for the amount of support I got from so many people in Dawlish and further afield.

"I know how hard times are for people, but the generosity of so many people was overwhelming."
