The driver of a Volkswagen Golf has been arrested by police after testing positive for cannabis.

He was stopped at the top of Telegraph Hill on the A380, and was found to be already under investigation for drug driving.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said on Twitter: "The driver of this Golf, whilst already under investigation for drug driving, has continued to drive.

"He was stopped on top of Telegraph Hill A380 where he tested positive for cannabis.

"Driver arrested and another sample of blood will be obtained for analysis."
