Dawlish Coastguard now recruiting

HM Coastguard is now recruiting volunteers in the Dawlish area.

No experience is necessary, and full training to become a Coastguard Rescue officer will be provided, along with any protective equipment required.

You must be over 18 to apply and have a full UK driving licence.

An HM Coastguard spokesperson said: "Are you up for a new challenge? Do you want to learn a new set of skills? Work as part of a team? Be part of a frontline 999 emergency service?

"Coastguard Rescue Officers have multiple skillsets and can be trained in cliff rescue, water rescue, mud rescue, missing person search, casualty care.

"Alongside these, we also deal with many other things and no two call-outs are ever the same!"
