The Dawlish HM Coastguard Rescue Team was called out this morning (Wednesday 20 July) to investigate a cliff fall at Ness Cove Beach in Shaldon.

They assessed the fall, taking pictures and issued a warning to beachgoers and walkers of the dangers of being either at the top or the bottom of cliff faces.

"Coastguard Rescue Officers assessed the fall and reported back to Solent Coastguard sending photographs.

"The local authority will be informed of the fall as the responsible authority for this part of cliff.

"Please be careful near any cliff face, whether at the top or the bottom. Both pose risks to your safety!"
