A Dawlish Warren holiday park that offers stays in converted train carriages has had £300k knocked off its asking price.

Brunel Holiday Park was put up for sale for £950k last year but now offers in the region of £650k are being invited.

The park was initially set up by Great Western Railway in 1935, but only for railway employees and their families to use.

Closed in September 2016, it was acquired by new owners the following year and refurbished. It reopened in 2019, and has reportedly been "incredibly successful" despite the pandemic.

Estate agency Bettesworths added that future bookings are looking strong for the carriages, which have been "renovated to an incredibly high standard".

The carriages can each sleep up to six people, and have sea views, on-site parking and wi-fi. The site is located near Dawlish Warren railway station.

Brunel Holiday Park is believed to be the "largest and most impressive 'trainaction' site in the UK", and is open all year round.
