The Love Dawlish website is back!

Along with the Love Teignmouth site, it has been re-launched, showcasing the town to visitors while also providing useful information for residents.

There are details of events, shops and businesses and places to eat, drink and stay, plus live train times.

The Dawlish website also has a section on the town's Heritage Trail, with audio recordings from characters including a prehistoric girl, a Regency dandy visiting Dawlish from London, a Victorian navvy and a member of the Orange Army who repaired the railway track after the storm damage in 2014.

The websites were designed through a collaboration between Dawlish and Teignmouth town councils, who are now inviting feedback from the public.

They'd also like to hear from anyone who would like their shop, business or event to feature on the site.

Mayor and Chamber of Commerce chairman welcome new website

Dawlish Town Mayor Cllr Val Mawhood said: "Following the loss of the town's Tourist Information Office, Dawlish Town Council quickly formed a working group to promote all that the town and parish has to offer.

"Thanks to input from various representatives, collaboration with Teignmouth Town Council and the hard work of our officers, I am delighted to see the Love Dawlish / Love Teignmouth websites coming to fruition, which will be an excellent resource to showcase what's on offer for tourists and residents alike, and we look forward to welcoming regular and new visitors to this lovely part of Devon all year round."

Dawlish Chamber of Trade Chairman Neil Salter said: "It's great to see the new and improved Love Dawlish website. A website filled with everything you need to know about the Dawlish area including shops, restaurants and places to stay."
