The Shaftesbury Theatre is delighted to announce that it has recently installed an automated external defibrillator.

A 'defib' is such a vital piece of equipment for first responders and is instrumental in saving the lives of people experiencing cardiac arrest.

Pictured are members of our pantomime cast Josh Meredith and Lucy Barallon who will be appearing in Robin Hood at The Shaftesbury from 6-14 January 2023.

We would also like to take the opportunity of thanking all at Jay's Aim charity which has provided training and support in the use of the onsite 'defib'.

Jay's Aim has provided training in the use of AEDs and what to do in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest as well as providing over 130 emergency defibrillators to sites across the South West where need is greatest, and we are fortunate now to count ourselves amongst that number.

If you would like any further information about the important work that Jay's Aim, you can find more details on their website https://www.jaysaim.co.uk/
