Teenage boy taken to hospital with serious arm injury after Dawlish Exeter Road collision

A collision involving a car and a teenage boy led to a road closure in Dawlish on Friday 14 January.

The incident was reported to police at around 3.35pm. The collision took place on Exeter Road, and the boy was taken to hospital with a serious arm injury.

A section of the A379 Exeter Road between Eastcliff Road and Iddesleigh Terrace was closed off, and reopened by 8.20pm.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Incident reported to us at 3.35pm on 14 January. Car in collision with a teenage boy on Exeter Road, Dawlish.

"The boy sustained a serious arm injury and was taken to Torbay Hospital. The road was closed at the junctions with Eastcliff Road and Iddesleigh Terrace.

"Fully reopened by 8.20pm."
