The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind across areas of the UK today and tomorrow (Saturday 27 November).

Saturday's warning will be in force from 12am until 6pm, 18 hours in total.

According to the Met Office, high winds 'may cause some travel disruption and damage'.

The organisation is advising the public that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties.

Saturday will see highs of six degrees and lows of three, with gusts of up to 51mph in the morning, going down to 37mph by the evening.
