Dawlish: Knitting and crochet group creates handmade Poppy Wall panel

6th Nov 2021 | Local News

A local knitting and crochet group has created a handmade panel on Dawlish's 'Poppy Wall' on the Lawn.

The piece was created with the aim of 'remembering all victims of war, and those we lost through Covid'.

The Poppy Wall will remain on Dawlish Lawn until Monday 14 November, after Remembrance Sunday. Members of the public can add their own poppies to the wall if they wish.

The Spin a Yarn for Assist group was set up in conjunction with Assist Teignbridge to support those who are lonely or suffer from dementia or mental health issues.
