A Dawlish church is set to launch a free 'swap shop' for children's clothing and shoes in a bid to reduce waste and help the environment.

St. Gregory's Church will hold the weekly swap from 9am-10am every Tuesday during school terms, starting on Tuesday 28 September.

A spokesperson said in a Facebook video: "People can come on a Tuesday morning. We're launching the swap shop on 28 September at nine o'clock in the morning and it's going to run every Tuesday in term-time thereafter at St. Gregory's.

"When they come, they can bring clothes that they want to donate that their children have grown out of, or got tired of.

"They can donate those to us, we'll wash and iron them and put them out the following week.

"They will get either another piece of clothing for their children [based on] the number of clothes they bring they'll get exactly the same in return, or they'll get a ticket or a voucher to 'spend' on another Tuesday morning."

You can find St. Gregory's on Church Street or here on Google Maps.
