Dawlish has a new taxi service.

Local man James Lamkin, who also runs Dawlish Paddle Board Hire, has decided to operate his own taxi after working for Dawlish Cabs.

He said: "I am a new taxi in town, James' Taxi.

"Having worked for Dawlish Cabs for just over a year, I decided to go at it alone alongside running Dawlish Paddle Board Hire.

"I have lived in Dawlish for 20 years, the last 12 of which have been in the Warren.

"I am on a hackney carriage licence so prices are metered, although with longer journeys eg. airports I try to be competitive and give a set fare.

"I have always enjoyed working for myself, you get out what you put in."
